The World Data System of the International Science Council (WDS), the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC) and the Research Data Alliance (RDA) invite you to an event organized within the scope of FAPESP Research Program on eScience and Data Science:

Scientific Data Management Workshop
10th and 24th February 2021
The 2 days online workshop will be centered around discussions on data management best practices for data repositories, and on new trends and perspectives for scientific data systems. Invited keynote speakers and panels will focus on analyzing and finding concrete solutions to some of the technical, political, and infrastructure issues identified during the 1st Latin America and Caribbean Workshop held in 2018.
Language: English (simultaneous translation will not be provided)

Certification of Scientific Data Repositories (the why, the how, the when)
This session will be co-conducted by experts from WDS and RDA on best practices on certification of repositories, and TRUST principles. It welcomes interaction with the audience, with many examples of best practices in repository management, and plenty of time for Q & A

VIDEOS OF SHORT PRESENTATIONS
The WDS Youtube Channel will host a set of short presentations with examples of work on the management of research on scientific data repositories. This work was going to be presented live at the original LAC workshop in April 2020.
Videos will be made publicly available through: https://www.youtube.com/user/ICSUWDS and will be kept online for wide dissemination and as a permanent resource/collection.
